COMMENDATIONS: Commends Judy Crow upon receiving the 2016 Louisiana
Association for Play Therapy Lifetime Achievement Award and recognizes her work
as a registered play therapist
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Judy Crow upon receiving the 2016 Louisiana Association for Play Therapy
3 Lifetime Achievement Award and to recognize her extraordinary work as a
4 registered play therapist.
5 WHEREAS, Judy Crow is a native of Union Parish; and
6 WHEREAS, Ms. Crow is a licensed professional counselor and a registered play
7therapist at Cypress Springs Elementary School in Ruston; and
8 WHEREAS, she has been practicing play therapy and supervising play therapists for
9approximately twenty-five years; and
10 WHEREAS, play therapy is a structured approach to therapy that builds on a child's
11normal communicative and learning process; and
12 WHEREAS, Ms. Crow was introduced to play therapy by one of her professors at
13the University of North Texas; she has a passion to help elementary students develop
14socially and emotionally; and
15 WHEREAS, prior to becoming a registered play therapist, Ms. Crow taught
16kindergarten and first grade for twenty years; and
17 WHEREAS, for eleven years, Ms. Crow was a staff member at the Family
18Counseling Center in Ruston; and
19 WHEREAS, Ms. Crow merits a sincere measure of commendation upon her receipt
20of the 2016 Louisiana Association for Play Therapy Lifetime Achievement Award, for her

1work as a registered play therapist, and for the caring assistance she has given to
2innumerable children throughout her career.
3 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
4Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Judy Crow upon receiving the 2016
5Louisiana Association for Play Therapy Lifetime Achievement Award; does hereby
6recognize and record for posterity her extraordinary contributions as a registered play
7therapist and counselor; and does hereby wish Ms. Crow every measure of success and
8happiness in her future endeavors.
9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
10to Judy Crow.
