HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 91

A RESOLUTION
To commend Judy Crow upon receiving the 2016 Louisiana Association for Play Therapy
Lifetime Achievement Award and to recognize her extraordinary work as a
registered play therapist.
WHEREAS, Judy Crow is a native of Union Parish; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Crow is a licensed professional counselor and a registered play
therapist at Cypress Springs Elementary School in Ruston; and
WHEREAS, she has been practicing play therapy and supervising play therapists for
approximately twenty-five years; and
WHEREAS, play therapy is a structured approach to therapy that builds on a child's
normal communicative and learning process; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Crow was introduced to play therapy by one of her professors at
the University of North Texas; she has a passion to help elementary students develop
socially and emotionally; and
WHEREAS, prior to becoming a registered play therapist, Ms. Crow taught
kindergarten and first grade for twenty years; and
WHEREAS, for eleven years, Ms. Crow was a staff member at the Family
Counseling Center in Ruston; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Crow merits a sincere measure of commendation upon her receipt
of the 2016 Louisiana Association for Play Therapy Lifetime Achievement Award, for her
work as a registered play therapist, and for the caring assistance she has given to
innumerable children throughout her career.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Judy Crow upon receiving the 2016
Louisiana Association for Play Therapy Lifetime Achievement Award; does hereby
recognize and record for posterity her extraordinary contributions as a registered play
therapist and counselor; and does hereby wish Ms. Crow every measure of success and
happiness in her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Judy Crow.
