A RESOLUTION
To amend and readopt House Rule 9.8 of the Rules of Order of the House of Representatives
to provide relative to the motion to lay on the table.
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana
that House Rule 9.8 of the Rules of Order of the House of Representatives is hereby
amended and readopted to read as follows:
Rule 9.8. Motion to lay on table
A. The motion to lay on the table shall be decided without debate.
B. The motion to lay on the table shall be in order in accordance with this
Chapter on any matter or motion in the possession of the House regardless of the
house of origin.
