SENATE BILL NO. 142

1	AN ACT
2 To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3 of certain state property in Webster Parish; to provide for the property description;
4 to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to
5 provide an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The commissioner of administration, notwithstanding any other
8 provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey,
9 transfer, assign, lease or deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may
10 have to all or any portion of the following described parcel of property to Andrew B.
11 and Catherine C. Hunt:
12	34,848 Square feet of dried lake bed in Lake Bistineau, in front of Section
13 13, T-17N, R-10W, Webster Parish, Louisiana.
14 Section 2.  The commissioner of administration is hereby authorized to enter
15 into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such
16 documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment,
17 lease or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the property described in Section
18 1, and as more specifically described in any such agreements entered into and
19 documents executed by and between the commissioner of administration and Andrew
20 B. and Catherine C. Hunt, in exchange of consideration proportionate to at least the
21 appraised value of the property.  In the event that the agreement authorized by this
22 Section is not entered into on or before December 31, 2018, the authorization to convey,
23 transfer, assign, lease, or deliver any interest in that property pursuant to this Act shall
24 terminate and be null and void on that date and thereafter.
25 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
26 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature

2 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
3 effective on the day following such approval.
