Requests the La. Board of Pharmacy to study and make recommendations regarding the use
of the terms "specialty drug" and "specialty pharmacy".
Provides that the board engage and solicit input, recommendations, and advice about access
to speciality drugs from knowledgeable entities or individuals including consumers, patients,
medical providers, pharmacists, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmaceutical drug
manufacturers, and insurers.
Requires a written report to the legislature no later than February 1, 2017.
