FUNDS/FUNDING:  Provides for the transfer, dedication, deposit, use and appropriation
of monies in state funds (Item #2)
1	AN ACT
2To provide for the transfer, dedication, use, and appropriations as specified of certain
3 treasury funds; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  The state treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer
6$8,000,000 from the Legislative Auditor Ancillary Enterprise Fund into the state general
7fund.
8 Section 2.  The attorney general is hereby directed to remit from the Attorney
9General's Consumer Support Escrow Account the amount of $3,983,278 to the state
10treasurer, to be comprised of settlement monies from AWP Pharmaceutical litigation. 
11Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the treasurer shall transfer the $3,983,278 to the
12state general fund.
13 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
14signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
15by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If
16vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
17effective on the day following such approval.

Proposed law directs the state treasurer to transfer $8,000,000 from the Legislative Auditor
Ancillary Enterprise Fund into the state general fund.
Proposed law directs the attorney general to remit $3,983,278 to the state treasurer from the
Attorney General's Consumer Support Escrow Account from settlement monies from AWP
Pharmaceutical litigation and directs the treasurer to transfer the monies to the state general
fund.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
