1 AN ACT
2 To designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 1 in the town of Simmesport, Louisiana, as
3 "Joe Simon Boulevard"; and to provide for related matters.
4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The portion of Louisiana Highway 1 within the limits of the town of
6 Simmesport, Louisiana, in Avoyelles Parish, shall be hereinafter known and designated as
7 "Joe Simon Boulevard".
8 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
9 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
10 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
11 actual costs for the material, fabrication cost, mounting posts, and installation required for
12 installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.
