1 AN ACT
2 To designate a bridge located on Louisiana Highway 2 in Caddo Parish as the "Hart's Ferry
3 Bridge"; and to provide for related matters.
4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The Louisiana Highway 2 bridge which crosses over James Bayou in
6 Caddo Parish shall be hereinafter known and designated as the "Hart's Ferry Bridge".
7 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development and its contractors
8 are hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
9 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
10 actual costs for the material, fabrication cost, mounting posts, and installation required for
11 installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.
12 Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
13 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
14 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
15 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
16 effective on the day following such approval.
