1 AN ACT
2 To designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 1 in the city of Alexandria, Louisiana, as the
3 "Deputy Marshal Glen Denning DeVanie Memorial Highway"; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. The portion of Louisiana Highway 1 between North MacArthur Drive and
7 Airbase Road in the city of Alexandria, Louisiana, in Rapides Parish, shall be known and
8 designated as the "Deputy Marshal Glen Denning DeVanie Memorial Highway".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
10 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
11 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
12 actual costs for the material, fabrication cost, mounting posts, and installation required for
13 installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.
