1	AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 37:1436(E) and (F), relative to licensing and registration of persons engaged
3 in real estate activity; to provide for penalties; to provide for procedures, terms, and
4 conditions; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1.  R.S. 37:1436(E) and (F) are hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง1436. Licensing and registration required

9	E.  Whoever violates the provisions of this Section shall be guilty of a
10 misdemeanor and fined not more than five hundred dollars per day of violation,
11 beginning from five calendar days from service by certified mail of the cease-
12 and-desist letter issued by the commission, or imprisoned for not more than
13 three months, or both.
14	F.  The district attorney in whose jurisdiction the violation occurs shall
15 have sole authority to prosecute criminal actions pursuant to this Section.
