Proposed law (R.S. 9:5826-5827) provides for the suspension or extension of peremption, prescription, and certain legal deadlines due to the hardships caused by the floods of 2016. Provides for the suspension or extension of prescriptive periods and peremptive periods for the period of time between Aug. 12, 2016, and Sept. 30, 2016.
