Present law authorizes the governing authority of Rapides Parish to pay a per diem to each member
of the board of supervisors of Sewerage District No. 1 an amount not to exceed $150 for each day
of attendance at the meeting of the board up to and including 24 days each year. Further, present law
authorizes a per diem payment for up to 12 emergency meetings each year.
Proposed law retains present law and adds authorization for the governing authority of Rapides
Parish to pay the identical per diem to each member of the board of supervisors of Sewerage District
No. 2.
Effective August 1, 2017.
