SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 103
BY SENATOR WHITE AND REPRESENTATIVE IVEY 
A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend the Central High School Wildcats baseball team and its coaches upon winning
the Class 5A boys' state baseball championship.
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the citizens of Louisiana have learned of the
Class 5A boys' state baseball championship title earned by the Central High School
Wildcats; and
WHEREAS, this championship title is the first state title in baseball for Central High
School since 1996; and
WHEREAS, in the championship game the Wildcats defeated the nationally number
one ranked West Monroe Rebels to claim the Class 5A title with a score of 4-2; and
WHEREAS, the Wildcats roster includes: Quint Guerin, Makhail Hilliard, Sam
Kenerson, Travis Dowden, Brant Husser, Joseph Schopp, Hunter Hebert, Hunter Arnold,
Drew Lasseigne, Triston Monte, Andrew Harris, Sam Stafford, Brady Jones, Carson
Balthazar, Cade Kimbrell, Chapman Lowrance, Grant Mayers, Lakendrick Paul, Todd
Lasseigne, RJ Coffee, Connor Heyl, Dalton Aspholm, Eddie Pezant, Shamar Henry, Andrew
Myrick, Brant Chauvin, Max Bryant, and Hunter Edwards; and
WHEREAS, Coach Mike Forbes, along with assistant coaches Brian Brown, Ricky
Creel, Antonio Ragusa, Hunter Edgens, and Clay Polk, instilled in the players the winning
attitude that comes from hard work, determination, and skill; and
WHEREAS, the amazing performance of the team throughout the regular season and
postseason was made possible with the assistance and encouragement of their families, other
students, and the citizens of Central; and
WHEREAS, the members of the legislature wish to recognize the extraordinary
members, coaches, and manager of the Wildcats baseball team who have contributed to the
success of the Wildcats baseball program and to commend them on their much deserved
championship title earned through teamwork, determination, perseverance, and dedication
to the sport.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend and congratulate the Central High School Wildcats baseball team on an
outstanding and memorable season and on capturing the state Class 5A boys' state baseball
championship.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
principal of Central High School.
