Authorizes creation of the Louisiana Supply Chain and Transportation Council (Council) to study
and make recommendations regarding increasing resilience in various modes of transportation
through increased communication, collaboration, development of geographic information
technologies, and new innovations in transportation resilience.
Provides that Council members are the secretaries of DOTD and DED, the director of GOHSEP, or
their designees, and a designee of the executive director of the office of community development,
disaster recovery unit, within the DOA, and representatives of multiple private organizations, as well
as other local, state, and federal agencies.
Requires DOTD to provide meeting space and to support the Council with the assistance of the DED.
Requires submission of a written report no later than February 1, 2018, to the president of the Senate,
the speaker of the House of Representatives, the house and senate committees on transportation,
highways, and public works, and the secretary of the DOTD.
