SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 190

COMMENDATIONS. Commends Nichole Nuccio on being named the 2017-2018 Bossier
Parish High School Teacher of the Year.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend Nichole Nuccio on being named the 2017-2018 Bossier Parish High School
3 Teacher of the Year.
4 WHEREAS, Nichole Nuccio is an educator at Plain Dealing High School; and
5 WHEREAS, she teaches physical science, cyber literacy, and advanced career
6 readiness; and
7 WHEREAS, Ms. Nuccio has been a classroom teacher for eight years; and
8 WHEREAS, she believes that one's past does not determine one's future; and
9 WHEREAS, Ms. Nuccio promotes the importance of building a whole child learning
10 team for students and contributes towards this effort to ensure students' successes throughout
11 their educational journey; and
12 WHEREAS, she also believes that children need to be made aware that regardless
13 of their past or current circumstances, there are many opportunities awaiting them if they are
14 willing to open their minds, work hard, and believe in themselves; and
15 WHEREAS, Nichole Nuccio merits a special measure of commendation and
16 recognition for her selection as the 2017-2018 Bossier Parish High School Teacher of the
17 Year and for the manner in which she encourages her students to believe in themselves and
18 be the best that they can be.

1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
2 does hereby commend and congratulate Nichole Nuccio on being named the 2017-2018
3 Bossier Parish High School Teacher of the Year and does hereby extend best wishes for
4 continued success as she cultivates the best and brightest of Louisiana's children and inspires
5 them to achieve excellence in the years to come.
6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
7 Nichole Nuccio.
