for the expenses of the judiciary (Item #3)
Report rejects Senate amendments which would have:
1. Decreased the amount of state general fund that could be added back to the judiciary by
$15,554,862.
Report amends the bill to:
1. Delete the separate supplemental appropriation to the judiciary.
2. Amend Act No. 69 of the 2018 R.S. to decrease the amount to be reduced out of the
appropriations out of the State General Fund (Direct) from $51,457,584, to $49,457,584.
2. Amend Act 69 of the 2018 R.S. to decrease the amount that may be added due to legislation
enacted in the 2018 2 E.S. from $46,445,138 to $42,445,138.
Digest of the bill as proposed by the Conference Committee
Decreases the amount required to be reduced out of the appropriations from the State General Fund
(Direct) contained in Act No. 69 of the 2018 R.S. from $51,457,584, to $49,457,584.
Reduces the amount contained in Act No. 69 of the 2018 R.S. that may be restored to the judiciary
due to increases in the official forecast as a result of the enactment of legislation in the 2018 2 E.S.
from $46,445,138 to $42,445,138.
