A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend Danny Wilson on his forty-fifth service anniversary at AT&T Louisiana.
WHEREAS, Assistant Vice President Danny Wilson celebrated his forty-fifth service
anniversary at AT&T Louisiana on April 4, 2018; and
WHEREAS, a native of Delhi, Louisiana, Mr. Wilson began his career in 1973 as an
outside sales canvasser in the rural areas of north Louisiana working to eliminate party lines;
and
WHEREAS, just four months later he was promoted and moved to Shreveport,
Louisiana, as a development supervisor; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson's next position with the company was in Lake Charles,
Louisiana, as an economic forecaster; and

WHEREAS, he soon became the business office manager where part of his
responsibilities included meeting with local government officials and the legislators in
southwest Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, seven years later he was promoted to district manager for Lafayette and
Lake Charles; and
WHEREAS, in 2003 he was promoted to his current position of Executive Director
of Legislative Affairs/Assistant Vice President in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, for over four decades, Mr. Wilson has shown his dedication, accuracy,
and work ethic in the External and Legislative Affairs Division of AT&T Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, he has witnessed the transition from telephone party lines to the
introduction of hand-held cellular devices and the evolution of the internet and social media;
and
WHEREAS, his tenure at AT&T Louisiana is a remarkable accomplishment that
inspires others to strive for long-term dedication; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson sets an example through his commitment to excellence and
strong work ethic for which he is highly esteemed by his peers and dearly loved at AT&T.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
acknowledge the numerous outstanding accomplishments of Assistant Vice President Danny
Wilson and congratulate him on his forty-fifth service anniversary at AT&T Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Danny Wilson.
