Abstract: Extends the termination date of provisions authorizing a public entity to restore or
rehabilitate a levee that is not maintained with federal funds by four years.
Present law provides that present law (R.S. 38:2212(C)(3)(a)), which grants a public entity the ability
to restore or rehabilitate a levee that is not maintained with federal funds, is effective until Dec. 31,
2018.
Proposed law extends the termination date in present law by four years, from Dec. 31, 2018 to Dec.
31, 2022.
