HOUSE BILL NO. 219

1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 13:754(C), relative to clerks of court; to provide relative to the
3 Louisiana Clerks' Remote Access Authority membership; to require a report to the 
4 legislature; to provide for the contents of the report; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 13:754(C) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 
8 ยง754.  Louisiana Clerks' Remote Access Authority; membership; board of
9	commission; statewide portal of records

11	C.  The LCRAA shall be composed of members who are district clerks of
12 court who enroll on or before September 1, 2014, to provide the LCRAA with secure
13 remote access to indices and electronic images of certain records maintained by each
14 district clerk of court.  LCRAA shall adopt rules permitting additional district clerks
15 of court to enroll as members of LCRAA on a schedule which shall include at least
16 one enrollment period per fiscal year.  Every district clerk of court shall become a
17 member of LCRAA by July 1, 2020.  LCRAA shall provide the legislature, prior to
18 the convening of the 2020 Regular Session, with a written progress report that
19 includes a list of participating clerks of court by parish and a list of clerks of court
20 by parish not yet participating, an overview of the information currently available
