R.S. 14:95.1.1(B) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 7 ยง95.1.1. Illegally supplying a felon with a firearm 8 * * * 9 B. Whoever commits the crime of illegally supplying a felon with a firearm 10 shall be imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than five years and may 11 be fined not less than one thousand dollars nor more than five thousand dollars. Present law provides for the crime of illegally supplying a felon with a firearm. Provides criminal penalties including imprisonment for not more than five years and a potential fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $5,000. At least one year of the sentence imposed shall be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. Proposed law adds "with or without hard labor" and otherwise retains present law.
