1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:16.3(C)(1), relative to the John J. Hainkel, Jr., Home and
3 Rehabilitation Center; to provide relative to services of the facility; to provide
4 relative to the terms and conditions of the lease document by which the facility is
5 leased; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 40:16.3(C)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 ยง16.3. John J. Hainkel, Jr., Home and Rehabilitation Center; lease

10 C. The secretary and the commissioner of administration shall be authorized
11 and empowered to execute the appropriate instrument or instruments, and any
12 corrections thereof, to effectuate the lease of the property described in Subsection A
13 of this Section. Additionally, the secretary and the commissioner of administration
14 shall hereby be authorized and empowered to negotiate such terms and conditions
15 in the lease document as may be necessary to ensure:
16 (1) That the facility shall continue to be named the "John J. Hainkel, Jr.,
17 Home and Rehabilitation Center" and operate as a long-term care facility that
18 provides nursing home level services, and that may provide adult day health care
19 services.
