HLS 18RS-900 ORIGINAL 2018 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 426 BY REPRESENTATIVE HUVAL PROPERTY/PUBLIC: Authorizes the transfer of state property in St. Martin Parish 1 AN ACT 2To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer 3 of certain state property in St. Martin Parish; to provide for the property description; 4 to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to 5 provide an effective date; and to provide for related matters. 6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. The commissioner of the division of administration, notwithstanding any 8other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey, 9transfer, assign, lease, or deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have 10to all or any portion of a parcel of state property in St. Martin Parish to Ciriaque Degeyter. 11 Section 2. The commissioner of the division of administration is hereby authorized 12to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such 13documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease 14or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the property described in Section 1 of this 15Act, and as more specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents 16executed by and between the commissioner of the division of administration and Ciriaque 17Degeyter in exchange of consideration proportionate to the appraised value of the property. 18 Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 19signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 20by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
