1	AN ACT
2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate the proposed airport flyover roadway or
3 ramp for the Louis Armstrong International Airport as the "Henry A. Smith, Jr.
4 Memorial Road"; to designate Louisiana Highway 3139 (Earhart Expressway) as the
5 "Francis E. 'Hank' Lauricella Memorial Expressway"; and to provide for related
6 matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  The proposed airport flyover road or ramp for the Louis Armstrong
9 International Airport, shall be hereinafter known and designated as the "Henry A. Smith, Jr.
10 Memorial Road".
11 Section 2.  Louisiana Highway 3139 (Earhart Expressway) between its intersection
12 with Louisiana Highway 3154 (Dickory Avenue) and its intersection with the parish line
13 between Orleans and Jefferson Parishes is hereby designated as the "Francis E. 'Hank'
14 Lauricella Memorial Expressway."
15 Section 3.  The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby directed
16 to erect and maintain appropriate signs of the designation in Section 2 of this Act provided
17 local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs
18 for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum
19 of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

1 Section 4.  The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby directed
2 to erect and maintain appropriate signs of the designation in Section 1 of this Act provided
3 local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs
4 for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum
5 of one thousand six hundred eighty dollars per sign.
6 Section 5.  Sections 1 and 4 of this Act shall take effect only as of the date of
7 completion of construction of the proposed flyover road or ramp for the Louis Armstrong
8 International Airport.
