Existing law authorizes the prescribing of marijuana for therapeutic use when the United
States Food and Drug Administration moves marijuana from a Schedule I drug to Schedule
II.
Prior law terminated the authority to prescribe marijuana for therapeutic use on Jan. 1, 2020.

Effective August 1, 2018.
