Abstract: Provides that Webster Parish will elect one justice of the peace from District 1, District
3, and District 5.
Present law provides for the election of one constable for each justice of the peace court. Proposed
law retains present law.
Proposed law authorizes Webster Parish to have a total of three justices of the peace and three
constables. Provides for one justice of the peace and one constable elected from each district in
Webster Parish (Districts 1, 3, and 5).
