Abstract: Modifies the proof of disability requirements for air carrier airports to provide free
parking to disabled veterans.
Present law provides free parking for a disabled veteran, his conveyance, and his passengers at any
air carrier airport if the veteran provides proof of his disability in the form of a military honor license
plate or a disabled veteran identification card.
Proposed law specifies that free parking at air carrier airports is authorized for any disabled veteran,
his conveyance, and his passengers at any air carrier airport if the veteran provides proof of his
service-connected disability in the form of a military honor license plate or a completed certificate
from the La. Dept. of Veterans Affairs certifying that the disabled veteran has a service-connected
disability, as determined by the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs.
