Prior law provided for the licensing and regulation of marine products.
Prior law defined "marine product" as a new or used watercraft, boat, marine motor, and a
boat or watercraft trailer.
New law retains prior law which excludes from the definition a new or used watercraft or
boat adapted to be powered only by the occupant's energy.
New law also excludes from the definition a watercraft designed for use primarily for
commercial or governmental purposes.
Effective August 1, 2018.
