1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 40:34(C), relative to death certificates; to provide for electronic registration
3 of death certificate data; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related
4 matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 40:34(C) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง34. Vital records forms
8 * * *
9 C. Each coroner or physician who signs a death certificate shall certify
10 the certificate using the Louisiana Electronic Event Registration System of the
11 Louisiana Department of Health, state registrar of vital records.
12 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on January 1, 2019.
