New law requires the Amite River Basin Drainage and Water Conservation District board
of commissioners to adhere to the Open Meetings Law.
New law requires the board to operate under Robert's Rules of Order.
New law requires the board to designate the time and select the place for holding its regular
sessions, which may be convened at any time upon call of the president or upon call of two
commissioners, but requires that the board meet at least quarterly.
New law requires that the location of the meetings be rotated among public buildings in
Ascension, East Baton Rouge, and Livingston parishes.
Effective August 1, 2018.
