(8/1/18) 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1379.3(A)(1), relative to concealed handgun permits; to 3 provide with respect to the renewal of concealed handgun permits; to provide relative 4 to a "no change" option upon the renewal of concealed handgun permits; and to 5 provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 40:1379.3(A)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 8 ยง1379.3. Statewide permits for concealed handguns; application procedures; 9 definitions 10 A.(1)(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the 11 deputy secretary of public safety services of the Department of Public Safety and 12 Corrections shall issue a concealed handgun permit to any Louisiana resident who 13 qualifies for a permit under the provisions of this Section and may promulgate rules 14 and adopt regulations regarding concealed handgun permits in accordance with the 15 Administrative Procedure Act.
