2018 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 76 BY SENATOR CLAITOR A RESOLUTION To commend Lucille "Lucy" H. McDonald on forty-two years of service with the Louisiana Department of Education. WHEREAS, Lucille "Lucy" H. McDonald began her career with the Louisiana Department of Education in 1975; and WHEREAS, she was hired immediately on her first interview by the deputy superintendent of management and finance, George Benton, as his executive secretary; and WHEREAS, due to her expertise and outstanding performance, Lucy has held that position for the past forty-two years, working with many administrations and deputy superintendents of finance; and WHEREAS, Lucy is well known for her intellect and unquestionable work ethic; and WHEREAS, giving her work her full attention, she has remained steadfast and dedicated to always ensuring tasks are performed timely and accurately; and WHEREAS, during her tenure, Lucy has been loyal and dedicated, willing to go the extra mile, and share her knowledge and expertise with others; and WHEREAS, she conducts herself in the most cordial, concise, and compassionate manner possible, and presents a kind demeanor in every situation; and WHEREAS, at the age of eighty-five, Lucy decided to retire and spend time with her six sons and their families; and WHEREAS, Lucille "Lucy" H. McDonald will always remain an inspiration to her fellow citizens for the vital contributions she has made throughout her forty-two years of effective public service with the Louisiana Department of Education. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Lucille "Lucy" H.
