1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 33:4712.20, relative to the naming of public buildings by the town of Church
3 Point; to authorize the governing authority of the town of Church Point to name a
4 community center in honor of a living person; and to provide for related matters.
5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
6 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
7 Louisiana.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1. R.S. 33:4712.20 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
10 ยง4712.20. Naming of community center; Church Point
11 Notwithstanding R.S. 42:267, the governing authority of the town of Church
12 Point may name a community center in honor of Gertrude Wimberly Broach.
13 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
14 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
15 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
16 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
17 effective on the day following such approval.
