MOTOR VEHICLES: Requires the inspection of a motor vehicle's headlamps during motor vehicle inspections 1 AN ACT 2To enact R.S. 32:1304(A)(5), relative to inspection of a motor vehicle's headlamps; to 3 require inspection of a motor vehicle's headlamps during motor vehicle inspections; 4 and to provide for related matters. 5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. R.S. 32:1304(A)(5) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง1304. Secretary to require periodical inspection 8 A. 9 * * * 10 (5) The rules and regulations adopted for the administration and enforcement 11 of this Section shall, at a minimum, include standards for motor vehicle headlamps 12 that require the following: 13 (a) Compliance with R.S. 32:303, which provides for headlamps on motor 14 vehicles, motorcycles, and motor-driver cycles. 15 (b) Compliance with 49 CFR 571.108, which established the federal standard 16 for motor vehicles headlamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. 17 (c) No cracks or indentations that impact the integrity of the headlamp.
