HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 103
BY REPRESENTATIVE HOFFMANN
A RESOLUTION
To commend the members of the Lenwil Elementary School student council for their
numerous accomplishments.
WHEREAS, the members of the student council of Lenwil Elementary School in
West Monroe represent their student body and help maintain a positive learning environment
for the peers they represent; and
WHEREAS, the council members are third and fifth graders who have all maintained
As and Bs on their report cards and have exceeded their Accelerated Reading goal by more
than four points; and
WHEREAS, their responsibilities and accomplishments have been numerous and
include assisting with Red Ribbon Week, an alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence prevention
awareness campaign observed annually in October; collecting gifts, making Christmas cards
for and visiting the residents of Savannah Estates Assisted Living Facility; and participating
in a Valentine candy fundraiser for the school; and
WHEREAS, every member of the council deserves a measure of recognition:
Samantha Arnold, Dakota Cesloc, Serina Charrier, Jayden Cordova, Ryan Fish, Chloe Maza,
and Jacob Whitlock; their efforts are supported by Principal Lisa Vige, and Hester Jane
Burnside and Tamara Usery, sponsors of the student council.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the members of the Lenwil Elementary
School student council for their numerous accomplishments and does hereby recognize their
academic successes and service to their fellow students.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to every
student council member and their principal and advisors.
