HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 11

A RESOLUTION
To commend La'Kendria Babers upon her selection by the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center
as the 2018 Registered Nurse of the Year.
WHEREAS, Ms. Babers is a model of dedication, efficiency, and professionalism in the
execution of her nursing duties at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit; she
is known for her ability to promote teamwork in her assigned work unit and in other areas of the
hospital; and
WHEREAS, a positive role model for other nurses, Ms. Babers is a participant on the Patient
Family Advisory Council and she helps to evaluate current processes at the hospital; she contributes
in the development of new processes and shares useful ideas on ways to improve the quality of care
provided to patients and to ensure their safety; and
WHEREAS, La'Kendria Babers is heralded by her colleagues for her diligence in identifying
problems and concerns and providing workable, effective solutions; and
WHEREAS, at the age of twenty-four, La'Kendria Babers holds a bachelor's degree in the
science of nursing and is a registered nurse in Louisiana who has practiced her profession for three
years; it is fitting to commend her selection by the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center as the
2018 Registered Nurse of the Year.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature
of Louisiana does hereby commend La'Kendria Babers upon being named the 2018 Registered Nurse
of the Year at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center; does hereby recognize the outstanding service
she provides to patients under her care; and does hereby extend to her best wishes and hopes for
continued excellence in the field of nursing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
La'Kendria Babers.
