HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 172

A RESOLUTION
To commend Leadership Tangipahoa for its leadership and community development efforts.
WHEREAS, the mission of Leadership Tangipahoa is to improve the quality of life
in Tangipahoa Parish by training a diverse group of leaders and emerging leaders on the
intersections of different aspects of their community; and
WHEREAS, the continued growth of Tangipahoa Parish signals the need for
investment in informed and responsible leaders; and
WHEREAS, Leadership Tangipahoa seeks out individuals interested in developing
their leadership skills, increasing their knowledge of the community, and engaging in
community affairs; and
WHEREAS, the organization was established by the chambers of commerce in
Amite, Hammond, Independence, Kentwood, and Ponchatoula, with the goal of preparing
participants for positions in local business, government, and civic organizations; and
WHEREAS, the organizers and participants deserve to be recognized for working
together in pursuit of a broad scope of opportunities for community growth.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Leadership Tangipahoa for its leadership
and community development efforts; does hereby recognize and record for posterity its
contributions to Tangipahoa Parish; and does hereby wish everyone involved in this fine
organization every measure of success and happiness in the years to come.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
