A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable J. Cameron Henry, Jr., and to express enduring gratitude for his
outstanding contributions to the parishes of Jefferson and Orleans and the state of
Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana
House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, J. Cameron Henry, Jr., is a notable public servant who has served with
excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2008, during which time he has
fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 82 and the state in an
honorable and dedicated manner; and
WHEREAS, a graduate of Jesuit High School, Representative Henry earned his
bachelor of science in political science from Louisiana State University and his master of
business administration from Tulane University; and
WHEREAS, Representative Henry has been a proud member of the Jefferson Parish
and Republican Delegations; and
WHEREAS, Representative Henry's diligent committee service has included serving
as the vice-chairman and chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations and chairman
of the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget, and being a member of the House
Committee on Civil Law and Procedure, the House Committee on Education, the House

Committee on Labor and Industrial Relations, the House Committee on Ways and Means,
the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay, the Legislative Audit Advisory Council,
the Legislative Budgetary Control Council, the Special Committee on Military and Veterans
Affairs, and the State Bond Commission; and
WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Henry
has authored and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
WHEREAS, J. Cameron Henry, Jr., will forever have a special place in the
chronicles of the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public
servants; and
WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
of his life, Representative Henry merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as a member of the Louisiana House
of Representatives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable J. Cameron Henry, Jr.; does
hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
particularly during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents
in the parishes of Jefferson and Orleans and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does
hereby pay tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his
intelligence and his energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Henry for his service to the citizens of
Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
Honorable J. Cameron Henry, Jr.
