CONDOLENCES: Expresses condolences on the death of Bailee Lanae Becnel
1 A RESOLUTION
2To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Bailee Lanae
3 Becnel.
4 WHEREAS, Bailee Lanae Becnel was born to Jarrod and Anitra Jack Becnel on
5July 27, 2006, in Metairie, Louisiana; she passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at the
6tender age of twelve; and
7 WHEREAS, christened at an early age, Bailee was baptized at Evergreen Baptist
8Church; Bailee was a bright student; she matriculated at Life Daniel Academy, Gramercy
9Magnet, and Lutcher High School; and
10 WHEREAS, she got involved with dance at the age of two; she was a member of
11Yvonne's Direction in Dance, where she was in the dance company for nine years; she loved
12being on stage with her fellow dancers and traveling to compete; Bailee also enjoyed
13swimming, drawing, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends,
14especially Demi and Blaire, who were more like sisters than cousins to Bailee; and
15 WHEREAS, she went by many nicknames: Bee, BeeBee, Boss Bee, Bee-delicious,
16and Bailee Bee; Bailee was one of a kind; a young lady of grace, spirituality, and passion
17who will be remembered fondly in her community; and
18 WHEREAS, Bailee is survived by her mother, Anitra Jack Becnel; sister, A'Lynn
19Becnel; grandparents, Jude "PawPaw" Jack, Shelia "MawMaw" Jack, and Sally "Mamee"
20Becnel; aunts, Julie "T-Noonie" Jack, Aisha Becnel, Janell Becnel, and Tanecia Becnel;
21uncle, Albert "Uncle Mugs" Lumar; cousins, Demi Simoneaux, Blaire Simoneaux, Edwin

1Florent, Emohni Florent, A'Shia Murray, Jon'Tre Becnel, Jonell Becnel, Ma'Kiyha Becnel,
2Tyriq Becnel, and Bentley Sylvester; godparents, Dominique and Carlysle Jasmine, Michelle
3Landry, and Stephan Jarrow; and a host of other family and friends; and
4 WHEREAS, the death of Bailee Becnel has left an unspeakable emptiness in the
5hearts of her family members and friends; Bailee's life was a gift and she will continue to be
6mourned and sorely missed by those who had the honor of knowing her as a vibrant young
7lady.
8 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
9Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express condolences on the death of Bailee Lanae
10Becnel; does hereby express the deep regret of the entire state upon the loss of this
11extraordinary child; and does hereby recognize the pride that she will forever bring to her
12family, her friends, her community, and the state of Louisiana.
13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
14family of Bailee Lanae Becnel.
