HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 251

A RESOLUTION
To designate the week of September 23 through 29, 2019, as Louisiana Craft Brewer Week
in Louisiana.
WHEREAS, Louisiana craft breweries have been awarded numerous medals and
awards for their superior products; and
WHEREAS, these breweries support responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages
and promote programs, education, and legislation aimed at preventing the over consumption
of alcoholic beverages; and
WHEREAS, similarly, Louisiana craft breweries promote programs, education, and
legislation aimed at preventing underage consumption of alcoholic beverages; and
WHEREAS, by brewing their products in an ecologically sound manner, these
breweries have contributed to the preservation of Louisiana's unique environment; and
WHEREAS, in response to recent natural disasters, Louisiana craft breweries have
been instrumental in raising not only awareness, but money as well; and
WHEREAS, these breweries support the state's agriculture by using the finest
Louisiana-grown products; and
WHEREAS, by brewing beer specifically designed to complement and highlight the
state's extraordinary cuisine, Louisiana's breweries help to support the flourishing and
exporting of Louisiana's rich culture.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby designate the week of September 23 through 29, 2019,
as Louisiana Craft Brewer Week in Louisiana and does hereby commend Louisiana's craft
brewers for their many contributions to the great state of Louisiana.
