HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 76

A RESOLUTION
To recognize Tuesday, April 30, 2019, as Greater New Orleans, Inc., NextGen Day at the
state capitol.
WHEREAS, formed in 2012, the NextGen Council is an initiative that introduces
new leadership into the Greater New Orleans, Inc., organization by utilizing the vigor and
ideas of emerging regional leaders; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council seeks to develop future economic leaders for both
GNO, Inc., and the region; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council is composed of the next generation of business
and community leaders in the greater New Orleans region; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council focuses on producing outcomes on issues and
projects that are congruent with the GNO, Inc.'s overall mission; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council promotes positive relationships and partnerships
between GNO, Inc., and the region's business and community organizations; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council is holding NextGen Day at the state capitol in an
effort to educate members of the Legislature on policy matters important to development and
job growth in Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby recognize Tuesday, April 30, 2019, as Greater New
Orleans, Inc., NextGen Day at the state capitol and does hereby commend these young
professionals for their commitment to economic development and job creation in greater
New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.
