2019 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 100 BY SENATORS ALLAIN AND PEACOCK Prefiled pursuant to Article III, Section 2(A)(4)(b)(i) of the Constitution of Louisiana. 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 56:116.1(B)(3) and to enact R.S. 56:116.1(D)(3) and (4), relative 3 to times and methods of taking of outlaw quadrupeds: to allow taking of outlaw 4 quadrupeds with a shotgun capable of holding more than three shells under certain 5 circumstances; to allow taking of outlaw quadrupeds while riding or standing in or 6 upon a moving land vehicle under certain circumstances; and to provide for related 7 matters. 8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 9 Section 1. R.S. 56:116.1(B)(3) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S. 10 56:116.1(D)(3) and (4) are hereby enacted to read as follows: 11 ยง116.1. Wild birds and wild quadrupeds; times and methods of taking; penalties 12 * * * 13 B. No person shall do any of the following: 14 * * * 15 (3)(a) Take or kill any game bird or wild quadruped with a firearm fitted with 16 an infrared sight, laser sight or except as provided in Paragraph (A)(8) or (D)(2) of 17 this Section, any sighting device which projects a beam of light to the target or 18 otherwise electronically illuminates the target, or any device specifically designed 19 to enhance vision at night; or. 20 (b) Except as provided for in Paragraph (D)(3) of this Section, take or 21 kill any game bird or wild quadruped with or by means of an automatic loading 22 or hand operated repeating shotgun capable of holding more than three shells. Any 23 shotgun capable of holding more than three shells shall be plugged with a one-piece 24 filler incapable of removal through the loading end, so as to reduce the capacity of 25 the gun to not more than three shells at one loading. 26 * * * ACT No. 53 Page 1 of 2 Coding: Words which are struck through are deletions from existing law; words in boldface type and underscored are additions.
