Present law creates a political subdivision of the state known as the Gentilly Development District,
in the parish of Orleans.
Present law provides for the district to be governed by a six-member board of commissioners. 
Further provides that a majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum.
Proposed law retains present law but increases the membership of the board from six to seven.
Proposed law adds the state senator who represents Senate District No. 4, or his designee to the
board.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
