SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 170
BY SENATOR BARROW 
A RESOLUTION
To commend Patricia Ann Derozan for her distinguished career and exemplary public
service to the state of Louisiana and to congratulate her upon the occasion of her
retirement after twenty-eight years of service.
WHEREAS, Patricia Ann Derozan was born on November 22, 1957, graduated from
Capitol High School in Baton Rouge in 1975 and from Southern University in 1979; and 
WHEREAS, she worked for ten years at NCR; and 
WHEREAS, her career with the state has included work as an Information
Technologist of the Department of Human Resources, Department of Natural Resources,
Division of Administration, and Department of Transportation and Development; and 
WHEREAS, with the Information Technology Department she was instrumental in
developing the online system for the state called SONRIS; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Ann Derozan is a member of the Antioch Full Gospel Baptist
Church; she is also a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Chapter of Southern
University Alumni and the Southern University Alumni Federation, and her hobbies include
traveling, socializing, cooking, and entertaining; and 
WHEREAS, on May 31, 2019, after twenty-eight years of dedicated service with the
state of Louisiana, Patricia Ann Derozan will retire.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend Patricia Ann Derozan on twenty-eight years of extraordinary public
service to the state of Louisiana and congratulate her on the occasion of her well-deserved
retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Patricia Ann Derozan.
