Expresses condolences on the death of Alicia Danielle Peterson. 1 A RESOLUTION 2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the 3 death of Alicia Danielle Peterson. 4 WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the citizens of Louisiana 5 learned of the death of Alicia D. Peterson on May 20, 2019, at the age of thirty-two; and 6 WHEREAS, Alicia D. Peterson, born to Willard and Karen Peterson on August 2, 7 1986, passed away peacefully in Boston, Massachusetts, with her parents at her side; and 8 WHEREAS, she was a native and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who 9 will be returned here for her final resting place; and 10 WHEREAS, she accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized, and a member at 11 Pleasant Grove Baptist Church; and 12 WHEREAS, Alicia D. Peterson was admired by all whose lives she touched, leaving 13 behind a rich and unique legacy which will be greatly missed; and 14 WHEREAS, she is survived by her loving son, Kameron Peterson; devoted fiancé, 15 Freddie Lockett; siblings, Michael Robinson, Kimberly Valley, Sheryl Robinson, Dr. Maria 16 Shantell Williams, Denetria Peterson Ringo, LaToya Thompson, and Ashley Peterson 17 Earthly; maternal grandmother, Gloria Lamotte Williams; paternal grandmother, Essie Mae 18 Peterson; and a host of other loving relatives, including special aunts, uncles, nieces, Page 1 of 2 SR NO. 205 SLS 19RS-2672 ORIGINAL 1 nephews, and cousins; and 2 WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edward J. 3 Williams Sr.; paternal grandfather, Henry Peterson Sr.; uncles, Herman, Walter Earl and 4 Henry Clarence Peterson; and special cousin, Anesha Lamotte; and 5 WHEREAS, although the death of Alicia Danielle Peterson has left a tremendous 6 void in her community and family, her memory shall live forever in the minds and hearts of 7 all who knew and loved her. 8 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana 9 does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Alicia Danielle 10 Peterson and extend enduring appreciation for the tremendous pride and honor that she held 11 for her family, church, and Baton Rouge community. 12 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to her 13 parents, Willard and Karen Peterson.
