2019 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 205 BY SENATOR BARROW A RESOLUTION To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the death of Alicia Danielle Peterson. WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the citizens of Louisiana learned of the death of Alicia D. Peterson on May 20, 2019, at the age of thirty-two; and WHEREAS, Alicia D. Peterson, born to Willard and Karen Peterson on August 2, 1986, passed away peacefully in Boston, Massachusetts, with her parents at her side; and WHEREAS, she was a native and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and will be returned here for her final resting place; and WHEREAS, she accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized, and was a member at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, Alicia D. Peterson was admired by all whose lives she touched, and leaves behind a rich and unique legacy which will be greatly missed; and WHEREAS, she is survived by her loving son, Kameron Peterson; devoted fiancé, Freddie Lockett; siblings, Michael Robinson, Kimberly Valley, Sheryl Robinson, Dr. Maria Shantell Williams, Denetria Peterson Ringo, LaToya Thompson, and Ashley Peterson Earthly; maternal grandmother, Gloria Lamotte Williams; paternal grandmother, Essie Mae Peterson; and a host of other loving relatives, including special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edward J. Williams Sr.; paternal grandfather, Henry Peterson Sr.; uncles, Herman, Walter Earl, and Henry Clarence Peterson; and special cousin, Anesha Lamotte; and WHEREAS, although the death of Alicia Danielle Peterson has left a tremendous void in her community and family, her memory shall live forever in the minds and hearts of all who knew and loved her. Page 1 of 2 SR NO. 205 ENROLLED THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Alicia Danielle Peterson and extend enduring appreciation for the tremendous pride and honor that she held for her family, church, and Baton Rouge community.
