SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 7
BY SENATORS FOIL, BARROW, FIELDS AND WHITE
A RESOLUTION
To designate Tuesday, June 9, 2020, as "Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital Day at
the Capitol".
WHEREAS, Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital serves as the main campus
and central hub for the Our Lady of the Lake Children's Health statewide network of
pediatric health care; and
WHEREAS, this full-service children's hospital network provides more than eighty
specialists in over twenty-five specialties, more than one hundred pediatricians, five satellite
specialty clinics across Louisiana, a leading Pediatric Residency Program training
tomorrow's pediatricians, and a wide breadth of community education and resources; and
WHEREAS, Our Lady of the Lake's Children's Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility
that serves children and their families during some of their toughest times and has a
far-reaching impact not only in the Baton Rouge community, but across the state; and
WHEREAS, the hospital anchors a collaborative and coordinated statewide pediatric
health network, Our Lady of the Lake Children's Health, that provides patients with more
access to physicians and providers specifically trained to care for children, which connects
pediatricians, pediatric specialists, and other health providers across the state with clinics in
the Baton Rouge region, Hammond, Lafayette, Gonzales, Walker, and Monroe; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize and commend the services provided by
Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital for the children and families of this state.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby designate Tuesday, June 9, 2020, as "Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital
Day at the Capitol".
