ENROLLED 2020 Second Extraordinary Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 47 BY REPRESENTATIVES GARY CARTER, BUTLER, DAVIS, DESHOTEL, DUPLESSIS, KERNER, AND WILLARD A RESOLUTION To extend the termination date for the Committee on Minority, Female, and Veteran-Owned Enterprises to December 31, 2023. WHEREAS, House Study Request No. 2 of the 2020 First Extraordinary Session of the Legislature created the Committee on Minority, Female, and Veteran-Owned Enterprises and tasked it with studying and developing a plan to promote the economic recovery and development of minority, female, and veteran-owned enterprises impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, the committee met a number of times, solicited input from a wide range of governmental and business entities, and made a number of recommendations for action; and WHEREAS, one of the recommendations was to extend the sunset of the committee beyond the current September 30, 2022, termination date so that it can continue to meet and study solutions for small, rural, minority, female, and veteran-owned enterprises. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend the termination date for the Committee on Minority, Female, and Veteran-Owned Enterprises to December 31, 2023.
