MEDICAID: Provides relative to the state medical assistance program
1 AN ACT
2To amend and reenact R.S. 46:460.52, relative to the state medical assistance program
3 known commonly as Medicaid; to provide for exemptions; to make technical
4 changes; and to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 46:460.52 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง460.52. Exemptions
8 The provisions of this Part shall not apply to any entity contracted with the
9 Louisiana Department of Health to provide fiscal intermediary services in processing
10 claims of the health care providers any healthcare provider.

Abstract: Provides relative to the state medical assistance program known commonly as
Medicaid.
Present law provides that its requirements relative to Medicaid managed care organizations
shall not apply to any entity contracted with the La. Department of Health to provide fiscal
intermediary services in processing healthcare provider claims.
Proposed law retains present law and makes technical changes.
