INSURANCE/HEALTH: Provides relative to the payment of health insurance claims

2To amend and reenact R.S. 22:1831(2), relative to health insurance; to provide for the
3 payment of claims; to provide for definitions; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. R.S. 22:1831(2) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
6 ยง1831. Definitions
7 As used in this Subpart, the following terms shall be defined as follows:

9 (2) "Claim" means a request by a health care healthcare provider for
10 payment from a health insurance issuer for healthcare services rendered to an
11 insured.
