1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 36:204(B)(1)(a)(iv), relative to the Department of Culture, Recreation and
3 Tourism; to provide relative to the authority of the secretary to take personnel
4 actions; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 36:204(B)(1)(a)(iv) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง204. Powers and duties of secretary of culture, recreation and tourism

9 B. The secretary shall have authority to:
10 (1)(a) Except as otherwise specifically provided in R.S. 36:801 and 801.1:

12 (iv) If there is a vacancy in the assistant secretary position for an office,
13 employ, appoint, remove, assign, and promote personnel of the office as necessary
14 for the efficient administration of the office and its programs and the performance
15 of its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities, in accordance with applicable
16 civil service laws, rules, and regulations and with policies and rules of the
17 department, all subject to budgetary control and applicable laws.
